4% of Generation Y (millennials born from 1980-1994) are evangelical Christians who believe the basic tenants of the Bible. Compare that to:
65% WW II generation (born prior to 1946)

16% Gen x (born from 1964 to around 1980)
1 out of 12 attempt suicide each year
1 out of 10 fifteen year olds and younger have gone through divorce in their life-time
58% have been involved in objectionable content on the web
91% say there is no absolute truth
75% of teens in America believe the central message of the Bible is, “God helps those who help themselves”
53% believe Jesus committed sin (40% of born again teens believe Jesus committed sin)
40% have experimented with self-injury (are “cutters”)
48% of high school seniors are sexually active (had sexual intercourse in the past 3 months)
By the time the average child graduates from high school, they will have watched 19,000 hours of TV, including about 200,000 sexual acts and 1 million acts of violence
very good but sad statistics .. 4%? ouch
It’s not a surprise then that at the last Presidential election, that Obama carried a huge majority of votes from this younger set of ‘informed’ Americans. The America of our youth has dramatically changed in a few short decades. Shoot, kids often graduate now from high school without having to write one single paper. LOL
