You should NOT even consider moving to blades if any of the following are true…

1. You who have no plans to grow your IT infrastructure and will remain with just a few servers
2. You are deploying SMP systems with eight or more processors
3. You require a large number of PCI slots or a very large memory footprint
4. You are prejudiced towards HP, Dell, or Sun as a manufacture of choice…..take the time to learn before you make a poor investment and are trapped in a circular forced upgrade scheme
